TOUR DESCRIPTION

Learn to rock climb in Mont-Tremblant with this fun, half-day course. This is the perfect experience for those first-time climbers without any prior know-how. Our course gives you a full introduction to rock climbing in Quebec and is an ideal morning or afternoon activity for families and friends. Children and adults alike can scale a natural 20 metre / 70 ft cliff face and learn how to belay, with the instruction and supervision of our experienced guides.

During our rock climbing course, participants will get to climb the cliff several times and learn safety protocols. This Learn to Rock Climb activity is designed for beginners, no climbing experience is necessary and is great for the whole family!


Know before you book :

  • Minimum 5 years old to participate.
  • Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Minimum 2 adults or 1 adult and 2 children.
  • Maximum 9 participants per departure.
  • Fits waists 58-107 cm (23-42''), legs 43-71 cm (17-28'').
  • Maximum weight: 250 lbs / 113 kg.
  • Expectant mothers cannot participate.
  • Our Rock-Climbing Initiation requires some physical exertion.

  • The activity takes place at the Tremblant resort. Situated less than a 2-hour drive from Montreal and Ottawa.
  • Duration: Approximately 3 hours.
  • Natural rock-wall about 20-25 meters, approx. 70 feet.
  • If single participants would like to reserve, please call us and we will try to fit you with an existing group.
  • For guests who choose to reserve in advance (recommended), directions to meeting points will be provided in your reservation by email. Otherwise, directions will be handed to you when you reserve at The Activity Centre.

  • Important Information
    When should I reserve?

    A day in advance is sufficient. We often have same-day availability.

    Is this activity for experts?

    No, we offer almost exclusively beginner courses.

    What should I bring?

    Dress according to the weather with good sports shoes. Also bring some water and bug spray.

    Can I bring my own equipment?

    No. For safety reasons, it is requested to use the equipment provided by our climbing school. Our equipment is maintained and regularly checked according to standards.

    If I am a climber, can I climb without a guide at this site?

    No, the climbing site is on private property, and for insurance reasons you must climb with a guide.

    Can I accompany the participants from my group?

    Yes, you can easily access the site to watch.

    What should I wear?

    Wear good sports shoes and comfortable clothes so you can move freely. Dresses are not suitable for this activity, as you have to wear a harness. It can get very hot on the wall. Make sure you bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

    How are your guides?

    All our guides are certified by the Fédération québécoise de la montagne et de l'escalade (FQME) in rock or ice climbing (or both), and are trained in first aid.
